This privacy policy applies to the Kruger Safari Challenge app, also known as Buka Buka, published on Google Play under package com.digitalranger.bukabuka.

The app is developed and published by Barkas Ranger Tech, the developer shown on its Google Play listing.

1. Data stored on your device

Kruger Safari Challenge stores game data locally on your device using built-in device or browser storage. This may include:

• Player names you enter
• Game scores and sighting history
• Completed safari drive records
• Animal sighting records, including date and time
• Optionally, GPS coordinates of sightings if you allow location access

This game data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to Barkas Ranger Tech servers.

2. Player names and scores

Player names are entered by you and stored locally for game functionality and saved game history. Barkas Ranger Tech does not receive player names or scores through the app.

3. Sightings and GPS location

The app may ask for permission to use your device location when recording animal sightings. Location access is optional.

• If allowed: GPS coordinates may be stored locally alongside the sighting record and used within the app.
• If declined: sightings can still be recorded without location information.

GPS coordinates are not sent to Barkas Ranger Tech servers.

4. Clearing your data

You can remove saved safari drives, sighting records and locally stored game information using the app's history-clearing functions or by clearing/removing the app's local data from your device.

5. Map tiles and external providers

When online map modes are used, the app may request map content from third-party map providers such as Esri / ArcGIS Online, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, or MapLibre-related services.

Those providers may receive ordinary internet request information such as your IP address and the map resources requested. Barkas Ranger Tech does not control those providers' systems. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

6. No selling of personal data

Barkas Ranger Tech does not sell personal data collected through Kruger Safari Challenge.

7. Children and families

Kruger Safari Challenge is designed to be suitable for families. Barkas Ranger Tech does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its own servers via this app.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
